Reviews indicate that many more liked The Wrecking Crew than not. For example, said CNN:Momoa, Bautista are buddy movie perfection in 'Wrecking Crew'
- Two superhero movie stars get their bromance on in an explosive new Prime Video action flick.
- They are Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa.
- Gave the film 3 out of 4 stars.
- Rated R.
- Rotten Tomatoes rated the production only 74/68.
- Forbes indicated that most reviewers gave the film a fresh (or good) rating, but Jacob Oller of the AV Club is a top critic who gave a rotten review, saying:
- Me? I lean in the Oller direction, but for different reasons. While I usually enjoy movies filmed in Hawaii with a local lead (Momoa), I kept telling myself, I've seen this show before, in different incarnations. Nothing is really new and surprising.
- Movieweb says The Wrecking Crew is streaming #1 on Prime Video.
- The proof of the product is that, while only yet in discussion, there appears like there will be a sequel.
- By the way, there was another The Wrecking Crew film, in 1969, with Dean Martin as Matt Helm, plus, Elke Sommer, Sharon Tate, Nancy Kwan, Tina Louise and Chuck Norris. Rotten Tomatoes audiences bestowed 45 rating.
- Love is in the air when the month includes Valentine's Day.
- Among the new films are 50 First Dates, The Barbershop series, La La Land, Mystic Pizza, P.S. I Love You, the Robocop series, The Andromeda Strain and The Thomas Crown Affair.
- For those who avoided movie theaters, the new Anaconda reboot with Jack Black and Paul Rudd arrived on Prime Video on January 27...at a high cost.
- Again Valentine's influences new selections, with Crazy Stupid Love on February 1, Shakespeare in Love on February 10 and Love is Blind on February on February 11.
- A bunch of productions are also leaving, like Groundhog Day, Parasite and Memoirs of a Geisha.
- Netflix will stream that same new Anaconda film shortly for $7.99.
"My name is Tom Homan. Now, I'm sure a lot of you are wondering why Greg Bovino, the last guy, was dismissed," Davidson's Homan told the agents. "I want to stress that it wasn't because he did a bad job, or publicly lied about the shooting of an American citizen, or even — uh-oh! — dressed like a Nazi. It was that he was filmed doing these things. And the president no-likey that."
