KAHULUI TO HILO

I remember the first air flight I ever took.  I must have been around 10 years old, and it was from Honolulu to Kahului.  Visited relatives.  One cousin is now a doctor living in New York City, married to a psychiatrist.  Saw Hayden Mango for the first time.  It was large, beautiful and sweet.  I was only familiar with Common and Chinese Mangos.  Anyway, yesterday was my final day on Maui.  I had a small adventure.  Make it tiny.  I walked from the Pride of America all the way to Maui Mall, for the primary purpose of tasting Guri-Guri. Lunch of pork cutlet and pasta fagioli soup, with beer and a rose wine. Off I am to have Guri-Guri. Found Tasaka Guri Guri...and it was closed for Labor Day. But I had to have something, so went elsewhere and ordered a lychee boba.  This is that drink from Taiwan with tapioca balls. Found a table with a view of the Pride of America. Walked back to the ship. The ship left Kahului before sunset for Hilo...

Who is  Christopher Eubanks ?   Before I articulate on my reminiscent subject of the day, I would like to start with my accidentally watching a Wimbledon match just a point away from completion.  Someone named Eubanks was leading #5-rated Tsitsipas.   Don't know either one, but Eubanks happens to be a 6'7" 27-year old American tennis player who was rated #159 in the world a year ago.  He's done well this year, and came into Wimbledon at #36, and won this match to make it into the quarterfinals ( one of eight ).  He was coached by his father until 13. There actually were two Americans this year in the top ten:  Taylor Fritz ( #9 ) and Frances Tiafoe  (#10 ), both 25-years old.  Then there were also #16 Tommy Paul, #22 Sebastian Korda and #32 Ben Shelton.  They're all now out of the tournament.  I don't follow tennis, and also never heard of any of them.
