WE ARE IN SEATTLE

I knew  Honolulu International Airport did not rank well  compared to the rest of the world, but just saw that it is ranked fourth from the bottom.  We are better than Philadelphia International Airport, Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, and St. Louis Lambert International Airport.  And that's good, for we were second worst in 2023, 2022 and 2020.  So that person to the left is wrong.  We are not the worst.  The best is John Wayne International Airport of Orange County. Started our journey in our usual Hawaiian Airline executive lounge.  But they refused to admit us, because ours were DOMESTIC business class ticket.  Were told to go to their other lounge, which had no food and only coffee and water.  This room was actually full.  Through negotiations, the person at the desk gave us two premier coupons to go back to their better lounge.  A few photos showing beer, wine, minestrone soup, pork sandwich, etc. N...

WE ARE IN TOKYO

Our flight to Tokyo on Hawaiian Airlines featured the ususal take-off view of Waikiki and Diamond Head. The food and service were great.  Started with prosecco, then went on to Johnny Walker Black, sake and Kirin Beer with a Japanese meal.  Followed by cheesecake, Bailey's and cognac. Saw three films.   Guy Richie's The Covenant , which got 83/98 ratings from  Rotten Tomatoes,  really good move, and  Someone You Loved,  a Korean romance film with a different kind of twist at the end.  Unexpected. The last one was  Contact , but the iPad had to be turned off when the plane approached Haneda Airport, so I missed the last few minutes. However, I turned to Google, and  found this article, which tries to explain what happened .,  Left more questions about the reality, except that Jody Foster playing the role of a Search for Extraterrestial Intelligence (SETI) scientist, possibly went through a  wormhole  and returned back ...

WE ARE ON OUR WAY TO CIRCUMNAVIGATE PLANET EARTH

We're in the Plumeria Lounge of Hawaiian Airlines. Next stop, Haneda Airport.   It's alway so exciting to anticipate the coming of a global adventure.   Now, I want these trips to be as secure and comfortable as possible.  Thus, we are traveling business class, except for the Bangkok to Dubai to Munich leg being on Emirates first class.   I never asked, but I assume they don't practice Ramadan on their flights and airport lounge. In  2022 we caught an Emirates first class from Bangkok to Duba i.  Unlimited caviar, with showers on the plane.  Fabulous experience.   So we thought we'd double the pleasure.  It is 3000 miles from Bangkok to Dubai, but 3700 miles from Dubai to Munich. And a big plus.   Washington D.C. is reaching peak cherry blossom blooms now.   They said it's due to climate change.  Tokyo and D.C. are very similar in terms of weather.  Certainly, too, our first few days then will feature a...
