WHAT DO I NOW DO WITH ALL THOSE NEW STREAMING CHANNELS I'M GETTING FREE FROM SPECTRUM?

Let's go back just a few months ago, and I did not have enough time to watch/and or/listen to the regular cable  1000 channels .  Some, of course, were not free, but Music Choice alone was, and covered almost 100 channels, including the local radio stations.  I also paid for Netflix and Amazon Prime, around $25/month.  Including two cable boxes, one for the bedroom and the other for the living room, Spectrum is free in 15 Craigside, a seniors community where I live. Then out of nowhere, Spectrum last month announced that permanently, for FREE, they would also add: Hulu   (With Ads) Disney+   (Basic) ESPN+   (Direct-to-Consumer) Max   (formerly HBO Max, with ads) Peacock Premium   (with ads) Paramount+ Essential AMC+   (with ads) FOX One ViX Premium   (with ads) Tennis Channel   (included with TV Select Plus These would have cost $120/month if you paid for them.  They are now all free, although I continue to have a $25/mont...

THE 2026 WINTER OLYMPICS....Plus some BASEBALL

Baseball for men and softball for women just started their seasons, softball a week ago.  I don't really cover these sports in this blog, and there is little general interest from the general public compared to football and basketball.   I do, though, regularly field fantasy Major League Baseball fantasy teams, and will again this year.  However, the season begins in an unusual fashion this time, featuring the New York Yankees against the San Francisco Giants in a night game on March 25, the earliest start in league history.  Netflix will stream the game also to its international audience.  However, you can still watch it on your home station if you don't subscribe to Netflix. Then, the traditional Opening Day follows on Thursday, March 26, with all teams in action. All-Star Game on July 14 in Philadelphia, beginning of the postseason on September 29 and World series on October 23. The Los Angeles Dodgers are heavy favorites to win the World Series.  A...

THE WRECKING CREW

Reviews indicate that many more liked  The Wrecking Crew  than not.  For example, said CNN: Momoa, Bautista are buddy movie perfection in 'Wrecking Crew' Two superhero movie stars get their bromance on in an explosive new Prime Video action flick. They are Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa. When their private-eye Hawaiian father dies in a suspicious hit-and-run incident, two estranged half-brothers are brought back together for the first time in a decade. James Hale (Bautista) is a steely Navy man in Honolulu who’s a hardcase at work and at home and has no patience for shenanigans. The younger Jonny Hale (Momoa) is a walking, talking, tattooed shenanigan, a brash cop in Oklahoma suspended for excessive force . Gave the film 3 out of 4 stars. Rated R. Rotten Tomatoes  rated the production only 74/68. Forbes  indicated that most reviewers gave the film a fresh ( or good ) rating, but Jacob Oller of the AV Club is a top critic who gave a rotten review, saying: “Somehow...
