THE FIRST FEMALE PRIME MINISTER OF JAPAN

But before I get into Sanae Takaichi, the first female prime minister of Japan, the latest news of the day. Did you know that the meaning of trumpery is worthless nonsense?  Term has long been in this dictionary: Trumpery   - as defined by Merriam-Webster:  "The meaning of   TRUMPERY   is worthless nonsense ."  Showy but worthless finery; bric-a-brac.   Nonsense; rubbish.   Deception; trickery; fraud. While the world turns with not much peace, and the U.S. still in government shutdown, Wall Street is breaking all time high records. According to preliminary data, the S&P 500 gained 82.92 points, or 1.23%, to end at 6,874.61 points, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 431.22 points, or 1.86%, to 23,636.09. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 333.87 points, or 0.71%, to 47,540.99 . However, last time I checked, gold prices today tumbled by 3% to just below $4000/ounce, a sign that there just might be a solution to sanity with China tariffs, while...

THE REALLY BIG CHINA PARADE

Donald Trump has wanted something this large, but Chinese President Xi Jinping pulled it off yesterday.  Marking the 80th anniversary of Japan's surrender in World War II, Tiananmen Square was the location of  China's Really Big Parade .  More magnificent than  Trump's 79th Birthday Parade  in DC this summer.  Twice as many soldiers marched, and twice as many aircraft flew over Ji's parade. Maybe more important than the event itself was who were there:  Russia's President Vladimir Putin, Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian and North Korea's Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, leaders of the Evil Axis.  Also: Besides Iran, North Korea, and Russia, heads of state or governments from more than a dozen other countries also   attended   the parade. These included a number of Southeast Asian countries—Cambodia, Laos,   Indonesia , Malaysia, Myanmar, and Vietnam—as well as Pakistan, Nepal, Mongolia, and the Maldives. Others in attendance included l...

WORLD PEACE

During the past few weeks I have focused on the theme of War and Peace on this nostalgic Tuesday.  However, I previously only analyzed the War portion.  This all  began on August 5  with my first  Huffington Post  article:   Well, Barack, We have a Problem.. ., which was published on 29May2008.  That initial  HuffPo  was an article on peace. On 23March2009 my  HuffPo  was entitled  The 10% Solution .  This essay provided details to that first attempt:  an ultimate plan to attain World Peace. The timing was right, for the world had suffered through the  Great Recession  from December 2007, and would continue through the date of this article into June 2009. The U.S. stock market had dropped 35%, but Chinese and Russian stocks fell 70%. There was no serious enemy during this period, for Iran was losing money producing oil, there were ragtag bunches of terrorists in the Middle East and North Korea was ...
