TRIALS AND TARADIDDLES OF DONALD TRUMP

A D.C. Federal appeals court of three judges unanimously today ruled that Donald Trump can face trial on charges that he plotted to overturn the results of the 2020 election, and that he is not immune to prosecution.  Yes, all women:  Judges J. Michelle Childs, Florence Pan and Karen Henderson.  Want to read what they said?   HERE .  This was largely expected, and now will go to the Supreme Court.  It will either accept the judgement of this appeals court, or themselves later decide on the matter. If the Supreme Court delays any ruling until after the 5November2024 presidential election, and Donald Trump wins re-election, he could pardon himself of everything, or arrange for his Department of Justice to ignore prosecution.  My sense is that our Supreme Court surely must be concerned about Trump destroying democracy for the nation if he again becomes president, so they will either accept the court ruling or in a timely manner, probably by this summer, itself make a judgement to deny imm

IT'S GETTING BETTER AND BETTER

For some of us, life is getting better and better.  To begin, the  Hamas released two American hostages  from the Chicago area, Judith Raanan and her 17-year old daughter Natalie, said to be for humanitarian reasons.  One reason was because the mother was in poor health.  She looked well in the photo on the left. Three strikes, and Rep. Jim Jordan is out as House speaker.  He lost more votes again.  Of course, this means life is getting better for people like me, not Republicans, who have been clueless for 17 days, and continue so.  A next vote might occur next Tuesday.  There is now a smorgasbord of potential applicants, who need to announce so before Monday.  They are all floundering and angry at each other.  Oh, they also were told to blame the Democrats for this sorry condition of their body, for all of them, plus only 8 House Republicans, caused this stalemate.
