Yesterday was a huge day for President Donald Trump and the Nation.   First,  the House approved the bill ending the longest government shutdown ( 43 days ), which went on to be signed by the president. Trump has long denied having any prior knowledge of Epstein’s conduct.   The core three   email exchanges , released as the House of Representatives returned to Washington to end the government shutdown, were penned by the disgraced financier between 2011 and 2019. On this record 43rd day of the government shutdown,  the House, after a 54-day recess, will finally vote to restart .  President Donald Trump will sign this legislation. However, this  Epstein matter has returned . Sure Trump knew about Epstein and underage girls,  but did The Donald also participate? It was in Trump's first term that this brouhaha gained notice, and you would think that any documents of his involvement were deleted then. So any demands for more details from the White House now, as is being demanded by Democrats, will not provide any condemning information.  But why, then, is this being withheld? Then again,  maybe Elon Musk found something,  or the Biden administration somehow snuck away incriminating evidence. Before I get into baseball, a further look at the fractious Epstein matter.   First some history : March 2005:  Police in Palm Beach Florida begin investigating Jeffrey Epstein after the family of a 14-year old girl reported she was molested at this mansion. He bought the place in 1990. Two miles south is Mar-a-Lago, which Donald Trump has owned since 1985. Epstein's home was razed  soon after it was sold in 2019. May 2006:  Palm Beach police charge Epstein with multiple counts of unlawful sex with a minor. June 2006:  Clearly, Epstein influenced State Attorney Barry Krischer, who sent the case to a grand jury that heard from only one accuser, so the only judgement was to charge Epstein with one count of solicitation of prostitution.
