Final night for the Democratic National Convention.    2,000 pro-Palestinian protesters marched yesterday.  All went well.  However, on Tuesday, there were 56 arrests at an un-sanctioned pro-Palestinian rally outside the Israeli Consulate . We all have been in the dumps.  When things go bad, other negatives seem to pile up too.  Take President Joe Biden as a good example.  He is now given little chance to beat Donald Trump on November 5.  Then,   he yesterday found out he has contracted COVID-19 .  Also,   two-thirds of Democrats said President Biden should step aside and allow the party to select a different nominee . There seems to be a sense that Biden will soon decide not to run.  The likely candidate will then be Kamala Harris.  I have long thought that the best Democratic presidential option was Michelle Obama.   Polls also seem to point in this direction.   Michelle, however, seems disinterested in this prospect.  Now that Republicans are confident that they will sweep the White House and both houses of Congress, with Democracy truly threatened, perhaps Michelle can be convinced.  Biden's greatest contribution to the future of the USA would be to ...

It's been more than four years since the coming of Covid-19.  For several years I every Thursday reported on this pandemic.  I've noticed where I live at 15 Craigside, a seniors' community, that time and time again residents returned from trips away from Hawaii, and tended to test negative at first, but positive several days later.  My conclusion now is that they must have caught this virus while on the flight home.  There is one resident who never tested positive when she returned home, BUT, on three trips after the pandemic was cancelled, caught covid all three times while away. Will Nikki Haley hang in there until Super Tuesday on March 5?    She is behind Trump 58% to 32%   in her home state of South Carolina on February 24. Even before that,   Trump will get all the electoral votes   on February 8 because   Haley will not even be included in the Nevada caucus, which is the only way to get support in that state .
