To quote NBC News: President Donald Trump is set to preside this evening over the first military parade in the nation’s capital since the end of the Gulf War in 1991 — this time a celebration of the Army’s 250th birthday. It also happens to be Trump’s 79th birthday. But the celebration will take place with clouds hanging over it, both figurative and real. The forecast calls for a high chance of rain showers or thunderstorms. The display of military might also comes against the backdrop of Trump’s inability, so far, to end the wars in Ukraine and Gaza.
