HONG KONG: From Before Sunrise, through Noon, and into the Night

  Our first day in Hong Kong began on the Ritz-Carlton Luminara,  I went for a simple breakfast at Azur  On the way back to the room, took a video of Hong Kong before sunrise. From my veranda, saw the sunrise over Hong Kong. Then a swift checkout through customs and immigration.  Ritz-Carlton was so organized this time.  There was someone accompanying us through the whole process and into a large van to take us to the Ritz-Carlton hotel.  One final goodbye to the Luminara....I thought. It was a very short ride to the Ritz-Carlton.  We got a Club Lounge room on the top floor, room 111620, which means we're on the 116th floor.  Here is our view....of Hong Kong and the Ritz-Carlton Luminara. Luminara was there all day into the night.  The Club Lounge is only a few steps away from our room.  We had lunch and English tea. Noodles with Hong Kong Beer. Hong Kong during the day. Then, dinner. A few photos of Hong Kong at night. Hong Kong Island....

THE RITZ-CARLTON

I should warn you about Singapore.  December is the best month to be here because of the Christmas holiday decorations, plus, it is not uncomfortably hot....just plain hot, typically still up to 90F.  However in the hottest month, June, only goes up to 92F.  But the monsoon season starts in December, where it rains, usually in the later afternoons.   The second day in the Singapore Ritz-Carlton Millennia started with breakfast.  Entrance to hotel from inside. Lobby area, featuring  Chihuly  art. Line for the buffet breakfast. Entrance to breakfast area. Noodle maker. First course of noodles. Second course of miso soup, rice, Japanese pickles and two eggs over easy. Third course of bread from India, tart from China and donut from the USA. Very soon after breakfast, into the Club Lounge for a very light lunch. Then came dinner in the Club Lounge. Light show of Singapore Marina Bay from the Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge. Walked only 1500 steps today. I pr...
