THE EAGLES

Some have compared the American rock band, The Eagles, with the British Beatles.  Don Henley of the Eagles has said that while they are now and then mentioned, the Beatles are in a league of their own. The Beatles performed from 1960 to 1970, and only toured from 1961 to 1966.   Beatlemania spanned from late 1963 to their final commercial concert at Candlestick Park in San Francisco on 29August 1966. They released 213 songs, 188 original compositions and 25 covers. The Eagles formed in Los Angeles in 1971, blending country, folk and soft rock. The Eagles were founded in 1971 by Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner.
