Two important news items before sports.  First,  HOW THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION SEALED THE GAZA CEASEFIRE DEAL : Credit Steve Witkoff, another real estate developer, now a special envoy, and Jared Kushner, son-in-law.  They've handled the bulk of the negotiations. You can read the details, but this article did not underscore the main reason why there is now peace in the Gaza Strip, with all the live hostages to be returned in 24 hours.  Very simply, President Donald Trump early this month warned   all hell, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas , if they don't agree to his Gaza Peace Plan by the deadline. While few have any pretensions that what now happening means there will be peace in the Middle East forever, what Trump has done is create a platform for Israel to work in tenuous unity with key countries like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey and Qatar, to marshal a kind of truce for now.  A lot more work left. Part 2 of our OMG Adventure follows the further travails of Donald Trump. Someone came up with having his sycophants and potential Veep candidates show up at his trial.  Yesterday, two U.S. senators and a rep, plus.  Today, Speaker Mike Johnson and Vivek Ramaswamy.  Son Eric has been there, and so has his wife, Republican National Committee co-Chair Lara Trump. But no other close family has come. The biggest missing piece is Melania Trump.  All  reports show that she won't show .  Too  bad, for jurors are human, and her daily presence, holding his hands coming and going, can make that crucial difference.  Perhaps she can be enticed to show up at the end for some reward.  After all,  their marriage has become a business arrangement . If I can be condemned for wasting any time, it is in fantasy baseball.  I was once into more, including football, basketball and golf.  I pretty much now only bother with major league baseball.  Why? During summer months, there is no University of Hawaii sports.  Baseball begins at the end of March and continues into October. One problem is that I travel in March and April, as I again will this year.  It's difficult to keep up with U.S. sports when I'm around the world. There are several competitions which cost money.  I even flew to Las Vegas one year to participate in drafting players.  Now I only stick to ESPN for MLB and NFL, as they're free.   This year I will again draft three fantasy baseball teams.
