WILL THE DONALD TRUMP COURT CASE IN DC BE TELEVISED?

Donald Trump again, but first, a few newsworthy developments: Mega Millions  selected a winner last night for $1.55 billion, from Florida.  Until last night, there were 31 straight Tues-Fri failed drawings.  Victor can get $783.3 million if the lump sum option is selected. Now, the jackpot   resets to a lousy $20 million .  Abortion-rights advocates in Ohio prevailed , the #2 reason why Democrats will win in a landslide on 5November2024.  From the  New York Times  this morning: More and more of these will begin to appear, but just revealed was a  secret memo  from a Trump lawyer providing details of faking key state electoral votes  to overturn his 2020 election loss. That headline look familiar?  On to The Donald, for these indictments remind me of  Watergate half a century ago , which was  televised and became a huge hit .   Three out of four homes in the USA watched .  I did.   Nixon became the first president in U.S. history to resign.  I was working that summer at the Lawrence Li

TRUMP INDICTED, PLEADS INNOCENT, RELEASED....and the World Turns

Well, the day finally came, for former president Donald Trump was arraigned in a Florida court, indicted, electronically fingerprinted, plead not guilty to everything, released, should get $2 million at a fundraiser and will  give a speech tonight  at 8:45PM EDT from his Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey.  On what, who really knows.  But his judge has not limited what he can say. You can read the details  here .  Some might want to watch the analyses on MSNBC with Rachel Maddow and her cohorts at 8PM EDT. Here is my take: The court cases are getting more and more serious for Trump.  Sure, "stealing"  15 boxes  of  more than 300 ( 325, actually ) confidential files  and  11,000 records  from his office when he left the presidency was a concern.  Worse was his effort to defy the government which tried to get those papers back.  This was nothing like Biden and Pence embarrassingly returning mostly trivial information they mistakenly took. If Trump had acted similarly, today

DO YOU KNOW HOW CLOSE WE WERE TO STILL HAVING TRUMP AS PRESIDENT AND MCCONNELL AS MAJORITY LEADER?

MIRACLE OF MIRACLES: Fiddler on the Roof

The USA yesterday had more new COVID-19 cases than the next 10 countries combined .  Our death rate is 4.6 times that of the World.  The USA had 190,165 new cases, while China had 33.  We had 1,987 deaths.  China had none. About the Georgia Senate run-off elections today, one factor that could make a difference is the current brouhaha between Donald Trump and the Republican leadership of Georgia.  At one time Governor Brian Kemp was Trump's #1 sycophant, who is now Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.  So, anyway, if Trump's vitriol toward these Georgia Republican leaders ( Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and Kemp, right ) turns off only 2% of Republican and Independent voters--after all these individuals have some devoted friends in the state--both Democratic Senatorial candidates will prevail.  The election will be awfully close under any circumstance.  It is that tiny margin of difference that will make the difference. Over the past couple of weeks I recorded two PBS Great
