Today, all about sports.   I have a lot of TV-watching planned for this weekend, and my teams are likely to mostly lose.   Hawaii football at Air Force:  no chance here.  The elevation is 6,621 feet, second most to Wyoming's field.  Hawaii always loses at Wyoming too. Hawaii women's volleyball:  the team has injuries and seems to be wallowing.  Should lose tonight against Cal-Davis. Marcus Mariota will start for the Washington Commanders against the Atlantic Falcons because the starting QB is injured.  Won't be shown in Hawaii. The Miami Dolphins host the New York Jets on Monday night football, so this game will be televised in Hawaii.  They are 0-3, and Tua Tagovailoa is having a bad season. It was a busy week, for I had a meeting to explore funding for the Blue Revolution, received my new passport, which allowed us to follow up on India/Qatar visas for our Regent Seven Seas Explorer cruise in November, complete the sign-up for our second cruise--53 days on Seabourn from Sydney to Honolulu next spring--finalized details for our outing this coming week to watch Jersey Boys, went to a campus football game,  and had a birthday party.  You say, what is so great about all that?  Well, my usual pandemic week involved nothing much more than write this blog, exercise, sometimes golf and watch Netflix. I began some mild  euphoria two years ago, and entered into an almost constant state of higher euphoria six months later.  Yet, there was always something troubling me. I woke up this morning with an unusual sense of peace.  Not the ultimate one we all will someday face, a lot more comforting.  The events of the past few days combined to impart a feeling that all will be well and the best is yet to come. At the top of the list is health.  All is well with me and vaccines are coming to someday end this COVID-19 pandemic.  Deliveries of the Pfizer/BioNTech version began this morning in the USA, and inoculations are in full swing in other parts of the world. Mask-wearing will still be a must for much of this year and next, but someone asked me to order this plastic thing you place between face and mask, and I found out that I could strenuously exercise with this insert.  It's called a face bracket, and, depending on where you get it , it could cost less...
