THE LAST OF THE TWO WHITE RHINOS...OR NOT?

On Thursday, a friend mentioned that the following list should have indicated cases, not deaths.  Thus, again: From  WHO , most covid (not deaths) cases: #1      USA  103,436,829 #2      China  99,238,850 #3      India  44,997,710 #4      France  38,997,490 #5      Germany  38,437,756 #6      Brazil  37,717,062 #7      S. Korea  34,571,873 #8      Japan  33,803,572 #9      Italy  25,977,012 #10    UK  24,704,113 Then I took a closer look at the data, and said to myself, there is no way that the USA had more covid cases than China.  For example, at the end of December 2022  CNN  reported 250 million in infections, just that month , which would be double the total of the U.S. for the entirety of the pandemic.  More so,  The Guardian  reported in January of this year that  Eight in 10 People in China caught COVID since early December, Say Officials .  That would be 1.14 billion cases, more than ten times that of the USA, and only from the end of last year into January.  What is the truth?

GLOBAL MUSICAL JOURNEY

According to the Sunday New York Times : Six to eight million people may have died   from Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic, compared with 3.4 million deaths recorded in countries’ official reporting. In the U.S.,   more than 400 colleges and universities are requiring students to be vaccinated for Covid-19.   Almost all are in states that voted for President Biden.   About that Eurovision Song Contest , Maneskin of Italy won, singing Zitti E Buono . I've regularly been featuring global adventures in anticipation of our world cruise beginning in January of 2022, with a stop in Dubai for the World Expo .  On this Sunday, it seemed ideal to take you around the world via Radio Garden.  The itinerary I will select might well be what we will do in 2023 to incorporate the Buenos Aires World Fair , with a theme of Science, Innovation, Art and Creativity for Human Development. As I live in Honolulu, the journey will begin with Hawaiian music .  Click on that and you can hear somethi

BLUE-BAR PIGEON and TRUFFLES

Total COVID-19 deaths : World:  1,627,626 Europe:  461,548 South America:  341,129 Asia ( including India and Middle East ):  313,636 USA:  308,091 Africa:  56,740 China:  4,634 Oceania:  1,039 Diamond Princess:  13 Grand Princess:  7 Taiwan:  7 At first glance, you might wonder, how could I possibly link a pigeon with truffles.  As those who regularly read this blog site know, there is a Blue-bar pigeon that follows me around the world.  Of course this is because there are so many of these world-wide.  You almost can't not see one whenever there is a large flock.  The pigeon is so common, that they are wherever we are.  As an aside, a particularly amazing bird is the Arctic Tern , for it annually flies 25,000 miles, the circumference of Planet Earth.  They also have a life expectancy of 30 years.  Thus, in the average lifetime, the Arctic Tern equivalently travels to the Moon, back to Earth and return to the Moon.  What a life. But back to my Blue-bar Pigeon, the first one intera
