Today, the case for why there are no aliens on Planet Earth, now, or ever in the past.  But first, global beliefs regarding aliens : Then there is the Fermi Paradox . In the summer of 1950, Enrico Fermi, who had won the 1938 Nobel Peace Prize, had lunch at Los Alamos with three colleagues, Edward Teller (father of the Hydrogen Bomb), Emil Konopinski (calculated that this H-bomb would not ignite the Earth's atmosphere) and Herbert York (became director of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory). Edward Teller recalls "in the middle of the conversation, Fermi came out with the quite unexpected question 'Where is everybody?'…The result of his question was general laughter because of the strange fact that in spite of Fermi's question coming out of the clear blue, everybody around the table seemed to understand at once that he was talking about extraterrestrial life".
