COPENHAGEN TO AMSTERDAM

Another short flight today, from Copenhagen to Amsterdam on KLM.  By the way, for those planning on a European trip, keep in mind that they don't all use Euros.  The exceptions are Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Sweden, and Denmark, where it is about 7 Danish Kroner to the U.S. dollar.  Also keep in mind that Norway is not a member of the EU and it is nearly 11 Norwegian Kroner to the U.S. dollar.  Sweden and Iceland use the Krona. The airline lounge was okay, with hard liquor, wines and beers available in the morning.  Neither our Munich nor Copenhagen hotel executive clubs, for example, offered any kind of spirits beyond wine and beer.  We were the only one there for a long while. As we approached Amsterdam, saw tulip fields. One of the advantages of living in Scandinavia is the lack of severe natural disasters.  Sure, a few hurricanes have managed to survive all the up to this far north causing some damage.  Take tsunamis, for example. AN OPTIMAL PLAN FOR THE REPUBLICAN PARTY

New Hampshire primary voting will not end until 8PM ET.   Donald Trump should beat Nikki Haley by double-digits.   The  next contest will be in Nevada , which is rather confusing, and I should stop here, but won't.   Democrats and Republicans couldn't agree on primary or caucus, and this is now a mess. For those citizens choosing the primary system (which means to vote by showing up at a polling place), early voting begins on January 27 and runs through February 2.   Here is the list of who is running .  20 individuals, including Biden and Haley, but no Trump. This I'm not certain, but I think Democrats will only use the above system, while Republicans have the option to do one or both. The matter of who is running does not matter, and candidates had the option of being in the primary or caucus, but only one. And, get this, Republicans can either vote only, or also show up at a caucus, which will occur on Thursday, February 8 between 5PM and 7:30PM. You with me so far? It

A GOOD WEEKEND IN PURGATORY

Nine years ago when I moved from Heaven to Purgatory--yes, I'm the first to be so demoted--I posted: COULD 15 CRAIGSIDE BE PURGATORY? That photo is of both where I came from, on the right, and where I now live.  To quote from that article about why I thought I was in purgatory: The people here are all nice, but, perhaps not perfectly purified, especially me. We're located next door to 2101 Craigside, where   my apartment is close to Heaven . Except for my ocean view side, we are surrounded by graveyards (by the way, that tennis court and pool belongs to 2101 Craigside, where my penthouse apartment will soon be back on sale): Since then I've written about Purgatory on numerous occasions, always on Sundays.  To again quote from  one of these postings in 2016 : You ask, how do I know so much about the laws of Purgatory.  Simple, I just made them up.  However, if anyone out there in the ether can send me verifiable proof of any house rules associated with Purgatory, please let
