Today could well be the beginning of the end of Donald Trump.  Closing arguments began with his defense, and he went on for almost three hours.  At the end,  Judge Juan Merchan scolded Trump's attorney Todd Blanche for outrageous comments  about "prison time."  Blanche ended calling Michael Cohen ( in reference to Tom Brady being the Greatest Of All Time, or GOAT ) the Greatest Liar Of All Time ( GLOAT ). Prosecution lawyer Joshua Steinglass ( on the left, with Susan Hoffinger, who did most of the prosecuting, and Alvin Bragg ) is now making his closing arguments, but his presentation is expected to go on for four and a half hours, so maybe the Judge might cut him off for finish tomorrow.  If this happens, this gives the prosecution some time to better prepare for a more convincing conclusion.  When will the jury be given instructions to have them deliberate on the verdict?  Chances are there will be a break for the end of the prosecution case, so...

Jailed Iran women's rights activist, Narges Mohammadi, 51, was awarded the   2023 Nobel Peace Prize .  She has been arrested 13 times, convicted 5 times and sentenced to 31 years of jail, with 154 lashes.  In addition to her other crusades, she has campaigned for the abolition of the death penalty.  Iran is the nation with the highest known number of executions last year, at 576. Noticed the  high number of strikes this year ?  Bet you didn't know that there have been 312 in the USA this year, with at least 453,000 workers involved.  Mostly in transportation, entertainment and hospitality. You would think the United Auto Workers against the car companies would have the most on strike, but there are at this point, only 25,000 walking the picket lines.  There are 400,000 UAW members. 75,000 Kaiser Permanente workers are on strike.
