I'll start with the pandemic: Looks like schools will continue to mostly be in-person, meaning that for the rest of the year elementary school students will continue to share the virus and bring it home to family and friends.  Pfizer indicated back in May that their vaccine should be ready for 5-11 ages in  September .  However, the Feds said, do more tests, so Pfizer and Moderna might roll out these vaccines  sometime in the Fall ...which means the number of new cases/day will be with us for much of the rest of the year.
