DONALD TRUMP: Upcoming Wins and Losses

Donald Trump will win some and lose some.  He's had some important wins so far, most having do with the Republican presidential primaries, ownership of the Republican Party and affect on Congress.  My speculation of what will happen into the future.  First, I predict that he will become the Republican presidential candidate.  A good win for him.  If, against current odds, he selects Nikki Haley as his vice-presidential running mate, another big win for him. Let me start with the Supreme Court, and all the following are my guesses. They will allow him to run for president, a win for Trump. They will say, by not hearing the appeal court decision, or taking time to make a Supreme Court decision, that Trump is not immune from prosecution.  A huge loss for Trump. But when will all that clarify?  Almost surely by this summer, and probably even very soon. This will allow the DC trial involving Special Prosecutor Jack Smith / Judge Tanya Chutkan to proceed some time this summer. About thos

TRIALS AND TARADIDDLES OF DONALD TRUMP

A D.C. Federal appeals court of three judges unanimously today ruled that Donald Trump can face trial on charges that he plotted to overturn the results of the 2020 election, and that he is not immune to prosecution.  Yes, all women:  Judges J. Michelle Childs, Florence Pan and Karen Henderson.  Want to read what they said?   HERE .  This was largely expected, and now will go to the Supreme Court.  It will either accept the judgement of this appeals court, or themselves later decide on the matter. If the Supreme Court delays any ruling until after the 5November2024 presidential election, and Donald Trump wins re-election, he could pardon himself of everything, or arrange for his Department of Justice to ignore prosecution.  My sense is that our Supreme Court surely must be concerned about Trump destroying democracy for the nation if he again becomes president, so they will either accept the court ruling or in a timely manner, probably by this summer, itself make a judgement to deny imm

THE FURTHER TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS OF DONALD TRUMP

The   trials and tribulation of Donald Trump   continue this week: Last week he was found liable for $83.3 million in the E. Jean Carroll defamation case.  And, by the way, that $5 million awarded to her had to be paid, and will be held by the state pending appeal.  The same will occur this time too, which means that Trump will need to sell something to meet that need.  I might add a  thing or two about Carroll . There is a  photo of Trump and Carroll (circled) in the 1980's  when she was in her 40's.  She was then writing for Saturday Night Live.  She looked pretty attractive. She has been twice divorced, the second one in 1990. In the mid-90's she was host and producer of the Ask E. Jean television series aired on NBC's American's Talking, the predecessor to MSNBC.  She won a CableACE Award in 1995. The incident occurred around 1995, or 1996. Carroll was one of 13 women who accused CBS Corporation executive Les Moonves of sexual assault in 2019.  Occurred in the

THE REPUBLICAN PLAN TO WIN THE PRESIDENCY

BREAKING NEWS!!!  Nine months ago, after a court case, Donald Trump, 77, paid $5 million to E. Jean Carroll, 80, who accused him in 2019 of sexually abusing her in 1996.  He continued to defame her, so she sued again, but for only $24 million more.  However, in a judgement just announced, the jury of 9  penalized Trump another $83.3 million  for his big mouth, fat fingers and deplorable actions.   One beginning editorial:  I can't understand why Trump only strengthens the link with his MAGA group, while alienating the margin of difference (those Republicans and Independents who are solid American citizens) the group that will make the difference in determining the next U.S. president.  Surely he understands, and his close supporters too, that blasting out as he does like an uncontrolled loudmouth on autocracy, misogyny and other hot topics, is no way to swing those key voters to support him.  My only presumption is that he is  mentally unstable. A couple of days ago I posted on:
