WHY SLEEP IS THE KEY TO LIVING LONGER

On November 4, Peter Diamandis published an article in  Time  magazine entitled,  Why Sleep Is the Key to Living Longer .  Then last night I had a revelation which could well be the key to solving my sleep problem.  Every night is an adventure, and I just might now have a clue to how to solve overcome sleeplessness.  I will test out some solutions and report how they went later,  For today, I'll focus on Diamandis. Is a 63-year old marketer, entrepreneur, engineer and physician. Is best known as the founder and chairman of the XPRIZE Foundation and leader of so many organizations linked to space and wellness.  Founded 25 companies. FLOSSING YOUR WAY TO GOOD HEALTH

Oral health and overall health are closely linked.  More so, the condition of your teeth and gums is crucial to your well being.  Flossing is the dental equivalent to exercising for a longer life.  You need both, but much more, too. To begin, the mouth is the primary pathway into the body, and an ideal environment for bacteria, fungi and viruses.    Take  bacteria : They can double their numbers every 20 minutes. In your mouth are  700 strains , typically 20 billion microorganisms, and they shed an additional 100 billion every day. Bacteria harden into plaque. SHOULD OLDER PEOPLE DRINK ALCOHOL AND COFFEE?

The medical profession generally discourages alcohol drinking at any age.  Basically, alcohol has caused traffic accidents, ruined family relationships and generally harmed the body of those who drink to excess.  For example,  alcohol is a factor  in about: 30% of suicides. 30% of fatal motor vehicle crashes. 40% of fatal burn injuries. 50% of fatal drownings and homicides. 65% of fatal falls. Over the past few decades, though,   research has shown that : Moderate drinking makes you 25% to 40% less likely to have a heart attack, stroke or suffer from hardening of your arteries. Turns out that "small" amounts of alcohol can raise your high density lipoprotein (HDL), which removes other forms of cholesterols from your body, thus lowering the risk of heart disease.
