A FEW THIS AND THATS

I  yesterday  featured China's really big parade.  Here are some highlights.  Today, a few this and thats entering the weekend.  About those Trump tariffs, here is  one summary .  Countries with the largest trade deficits.  From the  New York Times  this morning.  China is #1. The National Football League begins today: Opening tonight:  8:20 EDT, NBC, Cowboys at Eagles. The tomorrow night, Friday:  8 PM EDT, You Tube,  Chiefs at Chargers . Hawaii's home team, because of QB Tua Tagovailoa, has become the Miami Dolphins.  They play the Baltimore Colts at 7AM on CBS, our local time. THE REALLY BIG CHINA PARADE

Donald Trump has wanted something this large, but Chinese President Xi Jinping pulled it off yesterday.  Marking the 80th anniversary of Japan's surrender in World War II, Tiananmen Square was the location of  China's Really Big Parade .  More magnificent than  Trump's 79th Birthday Parade  in DC this summer.  Twice as many soldiers marched, and twice as many aircraft flew over Ji's parade. Maybe more important than the event itself was who were there:  Russia's President Vladimir Putin, Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian and North Korea's Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, leaders of the Evil Axis.  Also: Besides Iran, North Korea, and Russia, heads of state or governments from more than a dozen other countries also   attended   the parade. These included a number of Southeast Asian countries—Cambodia, Laos,   Indonesia , Malaysia, Myanmar, and Vietnam—as well as Pakistan, Nepal, Mongolia, and the Maldives.
