Edinburgh Festival Fringe began earlier this month and will end on Monday, August 28.  Been to this event three times.   Here is what you missed .  This is only the largest performance arts festival in the world, occurring the only month it is tolerable in Scotland, and typically features 3,300 different shows from more than 60 countries, with 50,000 performances.  A lot of this is free and on the streets.  A must go is the  Military Tattoo  inside the arena of Edinburgh Castle.  Good luck trying to find a hotel room in town.
