HELLO HONOLULU

I 'm back at 15 Craigside, and as much as traveling is great, coming home is better.  The best part was that my brother, who was on life support two weeks ago, is now recovering well.  So much so that there will be a family reunion in Las Vegas next month.  Oh, that graphic to the left.  That was a flight this past February from SFO to HNL.  I will board maybe the same plane, which will be a 777. I left you yesterday in the United Club of the Harry Reid International Airport.  I continued on a United flight to San Francisco. It was in the 90's all week in Las Vegas.  The surprise of this flight was seeing so much snow. Then the salt ponds of the East Bay approach to the airport.   We left Honolulu yesterday, and I had to transfer in San Francisco. San Francisco Airport looks new and spiffy.  Haven't been here in at least four years.  The United Club is also nicer looking, but far too small.  People need to wait to find a seat.  I had a soup and beer, caught the flight to Las Vegas.  Business class on United was terrible.  The seat had no leg rest and reclined maybe two inches.  Better than the next plane to Vegas which had no adjustment.  Worst of all, I asked for peanuts or chips, and the steward said that I needed to go to their magazine and pay for ordering them.  I said, isn't this business class?  He said no, this is first class.  United?  Can you believe this? The sun was setting, so after leaving Honolulu at 8:45AM, landed in Las Vegas at 9:30PM .  A taxi to the Circa with tip would have cost around $50.  Took Bell Trans for $20, with tip.  The problem is that the van has other passengers heading for the Strip.  Las Vegas Boulevard is undergoing
