IS THERE HARP MUSIC IN HEAVEN?

I've always been intrigued by the harp, but it was something that was always too expensive to own anyway.  As the harp is associated with Heaven, thought this was a good day to share what you might and might not have known about this instrument. Harps go back to King David in the Old Testament. Is symbolic of worship in heaven or hope. In many artworks, angels wearing white robes, reclining fluffy clouds with halos, are gently playing golden harps. The more I thought about the above, the more I figured out I didn't know much about the harp.  For example, know any famous person who played the harp.  Some actually can answer this question, and immediately come up with Harpo Marx. Other well-known harpists include Turlough O'Carolan of Ireland, Alphonse Hasselmans of Belgium, Marcel Tournier of of France, Carlos Salzédo of France and Judy Loman of Canada.  Surely, you never heard of them before.  Here is one top ten: #1   King David, who ruled in Israel from 1010-970 BC.  How

SLEEP: Part 2

It wasn't in the title, but yesterday was sleep, Part 1 .  That lots of sleep was probably why there was minimal weight gain on a 21-day cruise was a revelation.  Then to do the research showing the role that sleep can play in your regular home life was a pleasant discovery.   If you've kept up with this blog site, my various articles on sleep surely must have already educated you to the  benefits of good sleep : Boosts immune system. Strengthens your heart. Puts you in a better mood. Increases your productivity. Improves memory. Conversely, less than 5 hours of sleep/night negatively affects the above, and literally can endanger your life.  For example, the  AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety  reports that you're twice as likely to get in a car accident if you "only" get 6-7 hours of sleep, versus 8 hours.  Also too, low sleep reduces your attempts at exercise, which, like sleep and good nutrients, is good for your body. People complain that my postings are too lo

BE RELIGIOUS...LIVE LONGER!

It seems longer, but it "only' was just about a year ago that the world went into lockdown from COVID-19.  The New York Times speculated that ONE in THREE Americans know someone who has died from this virus:     Those We’ve Lost . How lucky and blessed am I?  With most of the residents of 15 Craigside, most of us do not know even one person who contracted this virus.  Meaning, we don't know anyone who has died.  And we live in a seniors' community in one building.  Got to give credit to the administration, and people who responsibly live here.  More than 97% took our second Moderna shot a month ago, while 89% of all employees also did.  There is about an equal number of both here.  Many sites around the world are having problems convincing their staff to be vaccinated.  Less than half, in the U.S., according to AARP . On Sundays I usually delve into a spiritual subject.  I was wondering, do religious people live longer than the non-religious?   The answer is YES!!!
