The Diamond Princess had to bypass Nha Trang because of super-high winds.  We were thus at sea for two more days and hopefully will arrive in Cai Lan ( Halong Bay ) on Day 11.  Day 12 will include a scenic cruise to Chan May ( Danang Beach, or China Beach ) through Halong Bay. Our Day 8 began with a different kind of lunch for me.  I actually skipped the usual ramen, and had beef stew over rice and a salad, with a Kirin Lager. Walked by the ice cream counter and got a matcha cone, Stayed for some entertainment, Took my usual nap, then down for dinner in Pacfic Moon,  The menu Ordered  Steamed Green Asparagus warm bacon jerez vinegar dressing, Skinniest asparagus I've ever seen. Also Mexican Albongas Soup.  Duckhorn Chardonnay. Twice-cooked port in szechuan saue, After dinner menus, Had a Cherries Jubilee with a Monte Chocso.  What is that?  See above After Dinner Beverages menu. The Diamond Princess is in Langkawi, Malaysia. On to lunch. Again, noodles with assorted veggies and meats.  With Kirin Lager Beer. I'm in a good rut, for after lunch I got sleepy and took a nap,  After awakening, did some exercising.  Then a pre-dinner Johnny Walker Gold Label to watch the sunset in the Crooners Bar,being entertained by pianist David Juneau. Got a better table to see the sun setting. Wasn't really hungry at all, but had a reservation at the International Dining Room, and ordered two soup and salad combos.  The first one was green salad with trio of cheese and pecans, plus  Tom Kah Gai , which is a Thai coconut-chicken soup.  Both excellent, The second set was a Caesar Salad plus Won Ton Soup,  Also very good. Then to the Explorers Lounge for karaoke. A couple nights ago I showed a video of me singing a song the first time.  That one by John Denver.  Did not go well,  Never attempt to do that in a public karaoke setting....
