LIFE AT 15 CRAIGSIDE and BTS

First, how are my March Madness bracket picks doing?
  • ESPN Men's:  88.3%
  • I can't find my other results so far.
15 Craigside has been here now for 15 years.

  • I lived next door and saw this building under construction.  Opened in 2011.
  • So late in 2013, on a lark, I decided to visit this place on a Saturday morning.
    • I wasn't really interested in a seniors' facility, so never checked other options.
    • During the tour, the agent indicated that there was an apartment just opened that was returned because the purchaser decided to not move in.
  • If I were the first to pick, this is the one I would have selected because it was on the top floor with an open view of the ocean.  The two adjacent towers were each on the sides, so those living there could not see mine.  Gave them a $20,000 check and came in May of 2014.
So, anyway, 15 Craigside hosted a 15th Anniversary dinner.

Here are the residents who moved in 2011, and are still residing here.
My meal.
Doing the serving was the upper administration of the Arcadia family.
We went to a luau at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
A resident of our sister property, Arcadia, Mel Aoki, was the karaoke jockey one night.
Placed flowers at the Valley of the Temples Memorial Park gravestone of my parents.
Another karaoke session, this one hosted by Doug Oshiro.
As you can see, some have a lot of fun here.  Brought a Chicken Karaage lunch back to my apartment to have with a Guinness.
Teishoku take-out of miso butterfish and udon.

I'll close with a BTS update:

  • Yesterday, they released their new album, with 14 songs, Arirang, which sold nearly 4 million copies on this first day.  Click on that to listen to all 43 minutes.
  • That Korean supergroup BTS performed in Seoul today at their first concert in more than three years.
    • Downtown was locked down for their one hour performance in Gwanghwamun Square.
    • Only 22,000 free tickets were made available, but the anticipation was another quarter million outside the venue just to be there.  Well, that was too much hype, as only around 40,000 fans, calling themselves the BTS ARMY, showed up.
    • Was streamed live on Netflix in 190 countries.
    • Missed it?  BTS: The Return, a documentary will premiere on Netflix on March 27.
  • They then go on a world tour:
  • South Korea (Goyang): April 9, 11-12, 2026 (Kick-off).
  • North America: Tampa (Apr 25-26, 28), El Paso (May 2-3), Stanford (May 16-17, 19), Las Vegas (May 23-24, 27-28), East Rutherford (Aug 1-2), Foxborough (Aug 5-6), Baltimore (Aug 10-11), Arlington (Aug 15-16), Toronto (Aug 22-23), Chicago (Aug 27-28), Los Angeles (Sept 1-2, 5-6).
  • Europe: Madrid (June 26-27), Brussels (July 1-2), London (July 6-7), Munich (July 11-12), Paris (July 17-18).
  • Latin America/Asia/Australia: Shows in São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Bangkok, Jakarta, Melbourne, Sydney, and more.
  • Tickets: General sales for most regions began on January 24, 2026, via LiveNation.com and Ticketmaster, following an Army Membership presale.
  • The person who runs 15 Craigside will be there in Las Vegas with her daughter:
  • Tickets for US shows, including stadium stops like SoFi and Allegiant, are in high demand, with many, like the Allegiant Stadium dates, already announced.
    • Lowest Prices: Tickets have been spotted starting around
(including fees) for upper-level seats, depending on the date, note NYPost and SeatGeek.
    • Average Prices: The average ticket price is approximately
    • Premium/VIP Seats: High-demand and VIP tickets can range from
       to over
    • Suites: Private suites for the Las Vegas dates are listed for significantly higher prices, ranging from roughly
       to over
depending on capacity and amenities, says the Suite Experience Group.
  • There will be more than 80 shows featuring a 360-degree, in-the-round stage.  Additional dates will be added for Japan and the Middle East next year.

HOW TO WATCH NETFLIX SHOWS

But first, maybe  President Donald Trump's 20-point Gaza Peace Plan is showing some progress .   No one expects the Hamas to accept all of them, but they did agree to release all captives and the act of handing over administration to Palestinian technocrats. So far, in the Gaza Strip, 66,288 have been killed and 169,165 wounded.   On 7October2023, almost two years ago, 1139 were killed in the initial Hamas-led attack. About my topic of the day, I've long been lamenting the overflow of watchable films and series available on Netflix and Prime.  Why expand into the plethora of other streaming options when I can't keep up with what I have, which costs me around $30/month.  And, of course, why venture out to a movie theater to end up watching a film that will cost me around that amount of money, when you add the popcorn, drink, gasoline cost, time it takes to get there and back, and the risk of a car accident or worse.  Oh, also getting infected with ...
