WE'RE OFF TO DUBAI

That exciting day has come.  After being stymied by this Pandemic for nearly three years, we are finally off to Dubai, first stopping off in Bangkok for three days.  Then we go first class to Dubai on Emirates Air.  On November 21 we board the Regent Seven Seas Explorer for Singapore.  Then after a few days, fly via Tokyo to Honolulu on December 18.

Among our highlights should be rooftop dining in Bangkok, visits to the tallest building and largest shopping mall in the world in Dubai and four days in Singapore just before Christmas.  And if you've been there for the holiday season you know about the fabulous lights on Orchard Road.  The 21-day cruise features free excursions, wi-fi, cuisine and alcohol beverages.

Bad news...our flight is delayed an hour.  Why? Because headwinds will take the incoming Asiana flight longer to arrive.  But the hopeful good news is that the subsequent tailwind to Incheon will make up some time.  The connection to our flight to Bangkok is so close that we might miss that connection, or our luggage will.  However, the staff seemed optimistic that both will make that Bangkok flight.  At least we will have rainbow aloha.  So beautiful that I show it three times, plus...purple coral?

HOW TO WATCH NETFLIX SHOWS

But first, maybe  President Donald Trump's 20-point Gaza Peace Plan is showing some progress .   No one expects the Hamas to accept all of them, but they did agree to release all captives and the act of handing over administration to Palestinian technocrats. So far, in the Gaza Strip, 66,288 have been killed and 169,165 wounded.   On 7October2023, almost two years ago, 1139 were killed in the initial Hamas-led attack. About my topic of the day, I've long been lamenting the overflow of watchable films and series available on Netflix and Prime.  Why expand into the plethora of other streaming options when I can't keep up with what I have, which costs me around $30/month.  And, of course, why venture out to a movie theater to end up watching a film that will cost me around that amount of money, when you add the popcorn, drink, gasoline cost, time it takes to get there and back, and the risk of a car accident or worse.  Oh, also getting infected with ...
