WE ARE IN SINGAPORE
The final night on the Diamond Princess was fabulous. Started with the usual dinner. And I'll stop describing them because they look familiar.
But will mention that I finished with a Baked Alaska, the traditional last night of a cruise dessert.

That was not all, for we had a midnight snack of hot dog and fries, with a gin and tonic,
Last day showed that I had walked 3254 steps.
Before departing the Diamond Princess, had breakfast on our veranda.
Getting through the process of immigration and customs in Singapore was a breeze. Turned out that getting a taxi to the Marriott Tang Plaza was easy.

We love the Marriott Tang Plaza for everything is around us, from a shopping plaza below us to the excellent Executive Club and so forth.
Went to lunch in our hotel, Wan Hao, which regularly makes the list Tatler Dining awards. It is the best Chinese restaurant on Orchard Road.
Ordered dim sums and assorted other dishes. The roast pork belly was particularly excellent.
The Marriott Tang Plaza Executive Club is terrific. Food and drinks are available from 5:30 to 7:30PM.
Want olive oil and balsamic for your salad. There is a wide choice of options.
Hawaii today celebrates King Kamehameha the First Day as a public holiday. Next Monday, June 19, or Juneteenth, is a Federal holiday. However, 22 states, including Hawaii, do not recognize this as a public holiday. Four of these will begin to honor this day next year, not Hawaii. Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery. The first presidential debate of Donald Trump and Joe Biden ended up in a near tie. Both lost. However, it was an unmitigated disaster for Biden, who just might be too old to win this re-election. For Trump, it was a reinforcement of what he does all the the time, lie. There will be significant calls for the Democratic Party to work out "something" to replace Biden as their presidential candidate. Suddenly, Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom and Michelle Obama are added to the spotlight. But what can "legally" occur at the August Democratic Convention?
