Donald Trump's mug shot is the first for someone who held this position, and could well earn him a billion dollars on his way to the Republican nomination for president next July in Milwaukee. Secretly ecstatic would be Democratic insiders who see a successful Trump opposition to Joe Biden as the key to holding on to the White House and Senate, while flipping the House on November 5, 2024.

Milwaukee, incidentally, was also the site of that first Republican presidential debate, said to have been "won" by Vivek Ramaswany, with DeSantis and Pence gaining some, and Joe Biden perhaps being the biggest winner.
