St. Patrick's Day is well-celebrated on the Seabourn Odyssey. Had two drinks before lunch. A concoction of several of those green bottles over ice and a Jameson on rocks
You haven't really lived until you've been well inebriated at lunchtime on the Seabourn Odyssey. Here a medley of pastas, tuna, chicken and salad, accompanied by some green Irish cocktail, Jameson and a rosé wine.
Had to compare the size of the grapes here with something or two. That number tells me that I forgot to zero out my pedometer. On the way back to the cabin, saw some attractive tidbits on The Patio by the pool. The eating establishments are simply named: The Restaurant and Thomas Keller's Grill.
My second lunch. Looked too edible to bypass. Above, teriyaki pork and beef with arugula/blue cheese salad and pine nuts. I asked the bartender to surprise me with a green drink, and got a blue-green mixture which exactly matched the color of the surrounding ocean.
Before dinner, there was a special St. Patrick's Day show with appetizers.
We then walked over the Grill by Thomas Keller, which was to be painful, for this is their high class cuisine site, and we were already full.
This "house" red wine is the best we've had on this cruise. 14.5% alcohol. Only sells for $10 in Australia.
We sat adjacent to Kathrine and Tom from San Diego.
Finally, pianist Bernard Walx.
As I failed to re-set my pedometer, I actually only walked 3321 steps today.
Maybe my best St. Patrick's Day. Tomorrow a tour of Melbourne.
